Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon Vegetable Oil
- 3 lbs. 90% Lean Ground Beef
- Salt
- 2 8oz pkg Cut Chopped Onions
- 1 8oz pkg Diced Green Peppers and Onions
- 3 Tbsp. Minced Garlic
- 4 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 7 tablespoons Chili Powder, about 2 oz
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 2 teaspoons oregano
- 1 15.5 oz can Dark Red Kidney Beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 15.5 oz can Cannellini Beans, drained and rinsed
- 2 12 oz Btls Chili Sauce
- 1 12 oz Bottle Beer or Beef Stock
Directions
1. Heat vegetable oil on MEDIUM-HIGH. Add ground beef; cook 8-10 min until browned. Season to taste with salt. |
2. Add chopped onions, green peppers, and garlic. Cook, stirring, 3-5 min. Add Worcestershire sauce; cook 3 min. |
3. Reduce heat to MEDIUM; stir in chili powder, cumin, and oregano. Cook 5 min. Reduce heat to LOW; add kidney beans, cannellini beans, chili sauce, and beer (or stock). Simmer 30 min, stirring occasionally. |
4. Optinal: Garnish with cheddar cheese. |
